Overview

Refurbishment of the Media Room at OR Tambo International Airport (Terminal B), for a six-month period. This is a construction tender open to CIDB-registered bidders with a 5GB or higher grading (or capable to register prior to evaluation), including joint ventures that meet CIDB and designation requirements. The brief includes interior fit-out, MEP works, acoustics, branding features, and related site works.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 5GB or higher (or capability to register) for tender evaluation; joint ventures must meet CIDB rules.
• Compulsory clarification briefing and site inspection on 31 August 2026 at 10:00; attendance is mandatory.
• Functionality evaluation: minimum 85/100 to proceed to price/preference stage; includes roles for Project Manager, Site Supervisor, four technical resources, and Health & Safety Officer with specified qualifications and CVs.
• Three or more client reference letters for similar multi-disciplinary refurbishments; letters on client letterhead with contact details.
• Tax/compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; where no PIN, provide CSD number; separate PIN/CSD for each JV member.
• Insurance: comply with Employer-arranged insurances and additional contractor insurances as described (Annex D).
• Environmental and safety: comply with EMS requirements (EMS 048) and Safety File Requirements (Annexure A).
• Submission format: one tender offer (original + copy) plus electronic copy; sealed packages; returnable documents per T2; signatories liable.

• Briefing/site inspection: 31 August 2026, 10:00, Media Room, Domestic Terminal B (compulsory).
• Closing: 30 September 2026, 12:00. Submit to Tender Box B, ACSA North Wings Offices, OR Tambo International Airport; complete Bid Register on deposit.
• Submit: 1 Original + 1 Copy (sealed) and electronic copy on USB; include all returnable documents (T2).
