Overview

Procurement of a Registered Occupational Health Medical Practitioner to render medical surveillance for Tokologo Local Municipality for a three-year period. Eligible bidders are qualified medical practitioners with MBChB and a Diploma in Occupational Health (or equivalent), registered with the HPCSA; SASOM membership is an added advantage. Required experience includes 3–5 years in Occupational Health, with work at multiple institutions, and ability to provide equipment, travel, and annual service delivery.

Requirements

• MBChB and Diploma in Occupational Health; registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA); SASOM membership an added advantage.
• 3–5 years’ Occupational Health experience; experience at 3+ institutions.
• Ability to conduct medical surveillance, provide fitness-for-work determinations, and submit detailed surveillance reports within 14 days after each assessment; issue medical fitness certificates.
• Own or lease/maintain necessary equipment (audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, etc.) and provide on-site/annual services; be available for emergency consultations.
• Confirm ownership or lease arrangements for a mobile clinic; travel to designated Tokologo areas.
• Compliance documentation: valid tax clearance, CSD registration (or provide CSD/Pin if no TCS), proof of HPCSA registration, VAT details, banking details, and completed MBD forms as required by tender.
