Overview

Registration of Contractors for Installation and Maintenance of electrical/solar Street Lighting, Solar installation Systems, Panels and Batteries, Electrical Works NCA 8 and Above. The County Government of Kitui is conducting a Prequalification to prequalify suppliers/contractors for FY 2026-2028 in Category A (Open to All) and Category B AGPO reservations. Eligible bidders should hold appropriate registrations/certifications (e.g., NCA 8+ or equivalent) and meet prequalification criteria.

Requirements

• Mandatory eligibility documents:
• Tax Compliance Certificate
• PIN/VAT certificate
• Trading License/Business Permit
• Certificate of registration/Incorporation
• CR12 or change of name
• Directors’ IDs
• Confidential Business Questionnaire
• AGPO certificate (if applying under reserved category)
• Completed registration forms (as applicable)
• Technical evaluation criteria:
• Certification/evidence from regulatory bodies (KEBS, NCA, ERB, ERC, etc.)
• Company profile with relevant experience and financial capacity
• Three client referees with contract evidence
• Audited accounts for the last year or bank reference
• Litigation history
• CVs of three key personnel (minimum 1 year experience)

How to Apply

• Download tender documents from www.kitui.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke (free of charge) (see filename above).
• Submit a sealed application clearly marked with the “Tender No. & Description” to the Chief Officer, Ministry of Finance, Revenue Management and Accounting, County Government of Kitui, P.O. Box 33-90200 KITUI. Deadline: 17 September 2026 at 12:00 noon (see CGoKTI/Reg/006/2026-2028.pdf). Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Submission method: by hand or mail (electronic submission not provided in this ITT) (see PDS). Tender opening is in Deputy Governor’s boardroom.
• Documents to submit: Application Submission Letter; Eligibility declarations; Qualifications documentation; Section IV Application Forms (ELI-1.1, ELI-1.2, FIN-3.1, FIN-3.2, EXP forms) and any other items listed in the PDS (see Section IV in the attached document).
• Pre-application meeting: none; questions due by 17 September 2026 (written).
