Overview

Registration of Service providers for Repair and Servicing of Generators and Other Appliances is a prequalification for the County Government of Kitui to register suppliers for repair/servicing of generators and related appliances for FY 2026-2027 and 2027-2028. Open to all eligible firms; download documents from kitui.go.ke or PPIP (tenders.go.ke). Submission is by sealed envelope to the Chief Officer, Ministry of Finance, Revenue Management and Accounting, County Treasury, Governors Block; closing as stated in the documents (see below).

Requirements

• Mandatory eligibility (Stage 1):
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate or Tax exemption
  • PIN/VAT certificate
  • Valid Trading License/Business Permit
  • Certificate of registration/incorporation
  • CR12 and/or change of name
  • Copies of ID for Directors
  • Confidential Business Questionnaire
  • AGPO Certificate (if applying in a category reserved for AGPO)
  • Complete all forms as required in the registration document
• Technical qualification (Stage 2):
  • Certifications by regulatory bodies applicable to the category (e.g., KEBS, NCA, ERB, ERC)
  • Company profile showing relevant experience and financial capacity
  • Three client referees with evidence (contracts/LPOs)
  • Audited accounts for recent year or bank reference
  • Litigation history and CVs for three key personnel
  • JV provisions if applying as a joint venture (forms ELI-1.1/1.2) and details of any Specialized Subcontractors
• Note: The package includes detailed application forms (ELI, FIN, EXP) and is subject to standard PPRA/ITA compliance.

How to Apply

• Deadline: 17 September 2026 at 12:00 noon (Local Time) per the PDS (ITC 17.1/18.1). The tender notice also references their portal and addresses; extensions only via addendum (ITA 9.1–9.3).
• Submission method: Plain, sealed envelopes clearly marked with “Tender No. & Tender Description” and deposited in the Tender Box at County Treasury entrance; late submissions not accepted (unless extended by addendum).

  • Application Submission Letter (Section IV)
  • Eligibility declarations (Form ELI-1.1 and 1.2 if JV)
  • Proof of eligibility and qualifications (as per Section III and Form FIN/EXP)
