Overview

Registration of suppliers for farm produce/products, foodstuff and general household items for the County Government of Kitui (FY 2026-2027 and 2027-2028). Open to all for CATEGORY A; CATEGORY B is reserved for AGPO groups (Youth, Women & PWD). This is a prequalification to register as suppliers across listed categories.

Requirements

• Mandatory documents: Valid Tax Compliance Certificate, PIN/VAT, Trading License/Business Permit, Certificate of Registration/Incorporation, CR12 or change of name, IDs of Directors, Confidential Business Questionnaire, and AGPO Certificate for reserved categories.
• Eligibility and qualifications: evidence of regulatory certifications (e.g., KEBS, NCA, ERB, ERC as applicable), company profile with relevant experience and financial capacity, three client referees with contract evidence, audited accounts (or bank reference) for the last year, litigation history, and CVs of three key personnel.
• JV considerations: if a joint venture, members are jointly and severally liable; representation authority arrangements apply; comprends limits on tendering as JV or sub-contractor.
• Note: Additional documentary evidence may be requested to verify eligibility and ownership/control.

How to Apply

• Download documents from Kitui website or PPIP (PPIP portal). (CGoKTI/Reg/027/2026-2028)
• Prepare and submit: Application Submission Letter, Eligibility Declarations, Qualifications information, and any other required forms (e.g., Form ELI series, FIN forms) as specified in the prequalification documents.
• Submission method: sealed envelope submissions addressed to the Chief Officer, Ministry of Finance, Revenue Management and Accounting, County Government of Kitui; deposit in the Tender Box at the entrance of the County Treasury (Governor’s Block).
• Deadline: 17 September 2026 at 12:00 noon (local). Note: the metadata also shows a later deadline in some notices; verify on the portal for the latest date (CGoKTI/Reg/027/2026-2028).
• Submission location: County Treasury, Governors Block, P.O. Box 33-90200, Kitui.
• Tender opening: Deputy Governor’s boardroom.
• Pre-application: No mandatory pre-application meeting; clarifications in writing by the deadline stated in the PDS (ITA 8.2).
