Overview

Registration of eligible law firms to provide legal services for the Kenya Development Corporation for 2026–2028 (Category B7). This is a prequalification to register suppliers for Legal Services, open to Kenyan-registered law firms with appropriate professional credentials; successful prequalification leads to invitations to tender for focused legal assignments.

Requirements

• Current Law Society of Kenya law firm registration; practicing certificates for proposed advocates.
• Business registration documents (Certificate of Registration/Incorporation, LLP if applicable).
• Official company/LLP search (CR12 or equivalent) not more than six months old.
• Completed Registration Documents: Application Submission Letter, Applicant Information Form, Confidential Business Questionnaire, and all prescribed forms.
• Kenya Revenue Authority Tax Compliance Certificate (or exemption).
• Evidence of professional indemnity insurance min KES 50,000,000; maintain renewal through contract.
• Evidence of e-GP supplier profile and number.
• Certificates of Good Standing for the managing partner and each proposed leader.
• AGPO certificate if category is reserved for youth, women or PWD (where applicable).
• Eligibility/integrity declarations, conflict of interest disclosures, confidentiality and data protection undertakings, and service-level undertakings.
• Documentation conformity: paginated/registered documents; current due diligence checks with LS Kenya, BR Service, KRA, PPRA, and e-GP where required.
• Mandatory disclosure of ownership, conflicts of interest, and related party information.

How to Apply

• Closing deadline: 21 August 2026 at 10:00 am (see “Provision of Legal Services”). Submissions after this time are not accepted.
• Submission method: sealed envelope or mail to Director General, KDC, Uchumi House, 17th Floor, Nairobi; tender box reception. Electronic submission not permitted.
• Documents to submit: as per ITA/Section IV – Application Forms (Application Submission Letter, ELI forms, Confidential Questionnaire) plus all mandatory eligibility/qualification documents (see above).
• Clarifications: written inquiries accepted up to 14 days before the deadline.
• Where to obtain documents: download free from www.kdc.go.ke and tenders.go.ke; completed documents must be sealed and marked with reference.
• Site visits/pre-application meetings: Not applicable.
