Overview

Prequalification to register suppliers for Sport Equipment, Education/Library Materials, ECDE materials and equipment, and PWD Assistive tools/Equipment (Category 026), for the County Government of Kitui for FY 2026-2027 and 2027-2028. Open to all eligible firms; AGPO reservations apply to certain sub-categories.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Tax Compliance Certificate; PIN/VAT; Trading License; Certificate of registration/incorporation; CR12 and/or change of name; ID of directors; Confidential Business Questionnaire; AGPO Certificate (where category is AGPO-reserved); complete all registration forms.
• Qualifications: regulatory certifications as applicable (e.g., KEBS, NCA, ERB, ERC); company profile with relevant experience and finances; three client referees with contract evidence; audited accounts or bank reference; litigation history; qualifications of 3 key personnel (CVs).
• Additional: JV rules, independence, and disclosure requirements; evidence of ownership/control; no conflict of interest; no PPRA debarment; tax clearance validity.

How to Apply

• Download documents from www.kitui.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke (PPIP) (CGoKTI/Reg/026/2026-2028).
• Prepare and submit: Application Submission Letter; Eligibility declarations; Qualifications information; any other documents listed in the PDS (IT forms included in Section IV).
• Submission method and deadline: sealed envelopes delivered to the Chief Officer, Ministry of Finance, Revenue Management and Accounting, Kitui, in a Tender Box at the entrance of County Treasury—Governors Block; deadline 17 September 2026 at 12:00 noon local time (references in the documents; see ITA/ITP data in the attached PDFs). Electronic submission is not available for this prequalification (documented in the ITA/PDS).
• Address the envelope to: County Government of Kitui, P.O. Box 33-90200 KITUI; clearly mark with the Tender No. and Description (CGoKTI/Reg/026/2026-2028). Tender opening is in the Deputy Governor’s boardroom.
• Documents to obtain and submit: as per PDS Section IV (Application Forms) and mandatory/qualification sections; include tax clearance and AGPO evidence when applicable.
