Overview

This prequalification is to register suppliers for the supply and delivery of Hospital Linen Materials (Category 15) open to all. Eligible bidders are suppliers capable of providing hospital linen materials, with readiness to meet the procurement qualifications and delivery requirements across Kitui County.

Requirements

• Mandatory eligibility documents (to prove qualification):
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate or exemption
  • PIN/VAT certificate
  • Valid Trading License/Business Permit
  • Certificate of registration/incorporation
  • CR12 and/or change of name
  • IDs of Directors
  • Confidential Business Questionnaire (duly filled, signed, stamped)
  • AGPO certificate (for categories reserved for AGPO)
  • Completion of all registration forms
• Technical evaluation criteria:
  • Evidence of regulatory certifications (e.g., KEBS, NCA, ERB, ERC, etc.)
  • Company profile showing relevant experience and financial capacity
  • Details of three referees with evidence (e.g., LPOs/Contracts)
  • Audited accounts for the latest year or bank reference
  • Documentation of litigation history and qualifications of key personnel (CVs)

How to Apply

• Deadline: 17 September 2026 at 12:00 noon (see CGoKTI/Reg/015/2026-2028). Note: metadata shows 28 Sept 2026 22:00.
• Submission method: hard copy submissions in sealed envelopes, delivered to the Tender Box at the entrance of the County Treasury (Governors Block); address on or before the deadline.
• Documents to submit: Completed registration and prequalification documents as per the Prequalification Documents (Application Letter, Eligibility, Qualifications, and other required forms), including original plus copies as specified.
• Required registrations/pre-qualifications: Tax clearance, PIN/VAT, trading license, certificate of incorporation, AGPO where applicable.
• Briefing/site visit: No pre-application meeting; site visit details (if any) would be in the PDS.
• Where to obtain bid documents: from the Kitui County website (www.kitui.go.ke) or PPIP (www.tenders.go.ke).
