Overview

Procurement of rehabilitation works for Republiek and West Street in Vryheid by AbaQulusi Local Municipality; open-tender for CIDB 7 CE/GB or higher. Suitable bidders are civil engineering/construction contractors with CIDB 7 or higher and relevant road rehabilitation experience.

Requirements

• Financial/technical: evidence of on-site management capability, adequate resources, prior similar work experience with reference letters; proof of access to plant/equipment; company blocked from non-compliance in previous contracts.
• Preference: 80/20 scoring with 20 points for specified goals (HDI equity, etc.); minimum functionality threshold (e.g., CVs, traceable projects, programme, NQF-related training) to qualify.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents from the E-tender portal and AbaQulusi website; cost options: R2,000 (cash) or R1,500 (print/download) (see document T1.5).
• Submit: one original tender in a sealed envelope, marked “REHABILITATION OF REPUBLIEK AND WEST STREET,” Tender No. 8/2/1/628; deposit in the AbaQulusi Tender Box, Cnr High & Mark Streets, Vryheid 3100, by 12:00 on 31 August 2026 (no late, telegraphic, faxed, or emailed bids) (see T1.5; F.2.13, F.2.15).
• Clarification meeting: compulsory for all tenderers; attendance details in T1.19; site briefing on works site.
• Returnable documents: include MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9 and other specified forms; ensure CIDB, tax, CSD, and related certificates are attached (see T1.12–T1.39).
