REHABILITATION OF ROADS VULINDLELA WARD 1 - SHANGE ROAD

Overview

Rehabilitation of roads Vulindlela Ward 1 - Shange Road: upgrade ~800 m of Shange Road from gravel to asphalt with stormwater and subsoil drainage, including a three-cell cast in-situ reinforced concrete box culvert. Suitable for civil engineering contractors with CIDB 6CE+ designation, active CIDB CRS, and road-upgrade experience. Joint ventures allowed if all members are CIDB-registered and lead partner meets CE grade; tender validity 120 days.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation 6CE or higher; CIDB CRS active.
• Pre-qualification: competent personnel, relevant road upgrade experience, and other mandatory requirements.
• Key personnel: Contracts Manager (registered in a relevant engineering/CM field); Construction Manager (NQF Level 5+ or equivalent); Foreman/Supervisor with road upgrade experience.
• Joint ventures allowed with each member CIDB-registered; lead partner CE grade; combined grading ≥ 6CE; compliance with Data Sheets 10 and related docs.
• Local procurement targets and BEE considerations as per the tender data (e.g., Locality and Black Owned Enterprise points).
• Mandatory attendance at briefing/site inspection; returnable documents and declarations to be completed.
