Overview

The RFP seeks removal, design, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a BBC perimeter fence for Transnet SOC Ltd operating as Transnet Port Terminals at the Port of Durban (Point Car Terminal, Agri-Port and Maydon Wharf). Bidder should have relevant construction and engineering capability, CIDB registration, and professional credentials to design and install high-security fencing.

Requirements

• CIDB rating: valid 7SQ or 7GB; or JV compliant with CIDB rules.
• Engineering registrations: Pr. Tech. Eng. or Pr. Eng. for final sign-off; ECSA registration certificates.
• Eligibility and pre-qualifications: CIDB, JV rules, English tender, and returnable documentation compliance.
• Functionality: minimum 70 points to progress; criteria include Previous Experience, Method Statement, Key Personnel, Health and Safety Plan, Environmental Management, and related evidence.
• Documentation to submit with tender: Tax Clearance Certificate with TCS PIN; B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs/QSEs with 51% black ownership); CIDB certificate; CSD registration; Workmen’s Compensation good standing; returnable schedules (T2.1/T2.2) as applicable.
• Health, Safety, and Quality: project-specific SHE plan, environmental policy and method statements, training matrix, and relevant ISO/9001 or equivalent evidence.
• Other: confidentiality, anti-fraud disclosures, and relevant risk/quality data as per T1/T2 requirements.
