Overview

Procurement of removal, disposal and replacement of asbestos roof sheets at Belfast Plantation, including supply and installation of corrugated roof sheets for village houses. The RFQ is a SAFCOL construction tender for ten village houses at Belfast Plantation (R33, near Belfast, 8 km away). Bidders should be registered asbestos handling contractors and meet CIDB, B-BBEE, tax and local content requirements.

Requirements

• Registered asbestos handling contractor; must dispose asbestos and submit disposal certificates.
• CIDB grade 1GB or higher.
• Proof of registration to handle asbestos with Department of Labour; COIDA good standing.
• Latest SARS Tax Clearance; CSD registration; SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE).
• Two reference letters or completion certificates for relevant works.
• Experience and CVs for key personnel (e.g., Construction Manager/Site Agent).
• Financial capacity: bank statement within a week of closing or approved funding proof.
• Local content and transformation: local direct employment targets (100% local; 25% women, 25% youth), proof of residence; subcontracting to targeted enterprises as defined.
• Signed SBD forms; adherence to supplier code of conduct; bid disclosures.
• Compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements; and adherence to NEC4/ SAFCOL contract expectations (as applicable).
