Overview

SAFCOL seeks quotations for the removal, disposal and replacement of asbestos walls with plastered brick work at Belfast Plantation. Suitable bidders are construction/service firms with asbestos handling capability, plastering and brickwork skills, and relevant certifications (CIDB 1GB or higher, SANAS/EME-QSE BBBEE, tax clearance, CSD registration).

Requirements

• CIDB registration: 1GB or higher.
• Valid COIDA good standing.
• Proof of Department of Labour registration to handle asbestos.
• SARS tax clearance (or PIN).
• SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or EME/QSE sworn affidavit.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration (or register within 7 days of award).
• Returnable documents: signed RFQ, company letterhead quotation, IDs of directors.
• Locality: bidder must reside under Emakhazeni municipality to be evaluated.
• References: two letters/completion certificates for similar works.
• Local content and specific-goal documentation if claiming points (SBD6.2, Annexure C, proof of identity/address).
• Mandatory compliance checks during Phase 1: SBD forms, tax, company registration documents, etc.
