Overview

SAFCOL invites quotations for the removal, disposal and replacement of asbestos walls with plastered brick walls at Belfast Plantation, including construction of 150mm block walls, plastering, doors/windows, painting and related works. Suitable bidders are construction contractors with proven asbestos handling capability, CIDB 1GB or higher, and compliance experience (B-BBEE, tax, CSD, DoL asbestos registration).

Requirements

• B-BBEE verification from SANAS-accredited body OR EME/QSE sworn affidavit.
• Fully completed RFQ document; quotation on company letterhead; return all SBD forms.
• Latest SARS tax clearance and/or PIN.
• Registration with the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) or register within 7 working days of award.
• CIDB grade 1GB or higher.
• Proof of registration with Department of Labour to handle asbestos.
• ID copies of company directors.
• CSD report or MAAA number.
• Local Content and transformation commitments (local employment goals; monthly KPI reporting).
• COIDA good standing letter and health, safety/environment compliance as applicable.

Optional for evaluation (points): two reference letters; proof of relevant experience; CVs of key personnel; bank statements or funding proof.
