Overview

SAFCOL invites quotations for the removal, disposal and replacement of asbestos walls with plastered brickwork at Belfast Plantation. The scope covers asbestos removal, brick wall construction on the existing plinth, plastering, door/window installations, painting, and related works, with a NEC4-based contract framework. Site: Belfast Plantation (Nkangala area). Closing date: 28 July 2026; responses by email to RFQNorth@safcol.co.za (RFQ BELFAST/0083/2026). No compulsory briefing session.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 1GB or higher.
• Valid COIDA good standing.
• Registration with the Department of Labour to handle asbestos.
• Proof of two reference letters or completion certificates for similar works.
• Experience and CVs of key personnel (Construction Manager/Site Agent).
• Financial capacity: recent bank statement or proof of funding from an NCR-accredited lender.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) or commit to register within 7 days of award.
• Latest tax clearance, SANAS-accredited BBBEE certificate or sworn EME/QSE affidavit, and company ID copies for directors.
• SBD documents completed and returned; adherence to environmental and health-and-safety requirements (as per NEC4 Z10, Z12, Z13 and related contract data).
