Overview

The RFQ seeks removal of asbestos roof sheets and replacement with corrugated roof sheets at Uitsoek Plantation (10 village houses). Bidders should be asbestos-handling specialists or roofing/construction contractors with CIDB 1GB or higher, and must meet SAFCOL’s compliance, local-content, and safety requirements (as outlined in the attached documents).

Requirements

• Registered asbestos handling contractor; compliant with disposal requirements.
• CIDB rating: 1GB or higher.
• COIDA good standing; proof required.
• Department of Labour registration to handle asbestos.
• Proof of two reference letters or completion certificates for similar works.
• Tax clearance and B-BBEE status (SANAS-accredited verification or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE).
• CSD registration (or MAAA number) and IDs of company directors.
• Fully completed RFQ and SBD documents; company on letterhead; VAT included in prices.
• Local-content and targeted-enterprise commitments; compliance with SAFCOL procurement goals.
• Delivery within 1 calendar month; payment on completion and inspection.
• All relevant safety, health, and environmental obligations (as per NEC4/SAFCOL terms).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 03 August 2026 at 12:00 PM (RFQ closing). RFQ validity: 60 days.
• Submit by email to: RFQNorth@safcol.co.za (include RFQ number in subject). Enquiries to viola@safcol.co.za.
• Documents to submit (returnable): fully completed RFQ; official quotation on letterhead; latest Tax Clearance; latest BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD report or MAACA number; IDs of company directors.
• No compulsory briefing session (RFQ indicates none).
