Overview

Procurement of eyecare services for Metro Health Services for a three-year period. Bidding is open to eyecare providers with HPCSA-registered clinicians, capacity to deliver in a public-health setting, and the ability to meet provincial eye-care norms (spectacles, refraction, pediatric/junior frames, etc.). Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and tax compliance (SARS TCS/PIN) required at bid close; B-BBEE status per WCBD 6.1; complete WCBD3.1 pricing; WCBD4 declaration; WCBD6.1 documentation.
• Evidence of HPCSA registration for all eye-care personnel; optometrist licensed for cycloplegic refractions; list of personnel with HPCSA numbers.
• OHS Act Section 37(2) agreement completed and submitted.
• Bidders may be subject to on-site capacity and equipment verification; no unpermitted subcontracting beyond WCBD6.1.
• Service standards include random quality checks, patient privacy, and adherence to provincial eye-care norms.
