Overview

Rendering security services for the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure: eThekwini Region for 36 months at the eThekwini Regional Office. Budding firms should have PSIRA accreditation (Owner/Director Grade A or B), PSIRA registration for the entity, and meet statutory/industry prerequisites (COIDA, UIF, PSSPF), own and station at least five vehicles (including a site bakkie), and demonstrate prior security contracts (minimum three completed in last 5 years, with at least one contract value ≥ R5 million). ICASA radio licence or valid proof of registration, and Public Liability Insurance of R10 million are required, along with other pre-qualifications.

Requirements

• Phase 2 mandatory documents (certified originals within 3 months):
  • Owner/Director PSIRA Grade A or B; PSIRA registration for the entity; proof of paying PSIRA rates.
  • COIDA good standing; UIF registration; PSSPF registration/compliance.
  • At least five owned vehicles; one on-site bakkie with proof of registration/license.
  • Prior experience: schedule of at least three contracts (last 5 years), one ≥ R5 million; letters of award/POs/SLA for listed contracts.
  • ICASA licence or registrable proof; Public Liability Insurance policy of R10 million.
• Additional: compliance with CSD, tax requirements, and all returnable documents certified (except experience).
