Overview

Renovation of Mondlo Thusong Centre is being procured. Abaqulusi Local Municipality invites bids for Tender 8/2/1/629, targeting service providers with relevant building/renovation experience, CIDB 1 or higher, and proper registrations (CSD, tax clearance) to perform refurbishment works.

Requirements

• CIDB grading 1 or higher.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and status.
• Valid company registration document; SARS PIN or Tax Clearance Certificate (original) and/or TCS PIN.
• Audited financial statements if above R10 million (AFS).
• Certified BBBEE certificate or Sworn Affidavit.
• Evidence of relevant experience with reference letters; certified current water/electricity rates/account docs or lease.
• Certified IDs of company directors/owners; CIDB proof.
• Completion of all MBD forms (MBD2, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD7.1/7.2/7.3, MBD8, MBD9).
• Proof of payment of bid fee (R2,000) and admin fee (R1,500) when collecting/submitting documents.
• Adherence to conditions: no state service, sealed bid, and full document completion.

How to Apply

• Documents published for self-download on the Etenders portal from 21 July 2026 (see TENDER DOCUMENT FOR MONDLO THUSONG 8-2-1-629.pdf).
• Non-refundable bid fee: R2,000 payable to AbaQulusi Municipality; administration cost R1,500; proof of payment required during collection/submission.
• Submission: sealed bid in the official bid box at ground floor, Abaqulusi Local Municipality, corner of High Street and Mark Street, Vryheid 3100, by 05 August 2026 at 12:00.
• Evaluation: price (80/20 or 90/10 preference system) plus Specific Goals (HDI, equity) with a 90/10 or 80/20 allocation as applicable; bids valid for 90 days after closing.
• Briefing: briefing at Corner of High and Mark Street (details in attached document).
