RENOVATION TO COMPLETION OF 8 CLASSES AND SUPPLY OF LOCKERS AND CHAIRS AT LAWINA COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL

Overview

Procurement: renovation to completion of 8 classrooms and supply of 320 lockers and chairs at Lawina Comprehensive School. Open Tender in Molo, inviting eligible bidders (including joint ventures) under Kenyan public procurement rules. Foreign bidders must meet local-content requirements; bidders must satisfy ITT eligibility, including NCA registration and tax compliance, with NCA registration required before contract signature.

Requirements

• JV allowed; members are jointly liable; Representative appointed for tender process.
• Eligibility: comply with Public Procurement Act provisions; not debarred; no conflicts of interest.
• NCA registration: bidders must be registered with the National Construction Authority (NCA) at contract award (minimum level 6; 3.12).
• On-going projects: bidders with more than four ongoing projects may be disqualified; prior approval and financial standing required.
• Local content: foreign tenderers must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan citizens or local suppliers (with documentary evidence).
• Financial and corporate: valid PIN; tax-compliance certificate; audited accounts and bank statements for the last three years; company registration documents (CR12), and valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
• Tender security: KES 500,000 (tender performance security) from an accredited bank or insurer.
• Other: confidential business questionnaire; certificate of independent tender determination; site visit form; and other documents as required by the tender data sheet (TDS).

  • Form of Tender and signed/dated; priced Bills of Quantities; Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration; Joint Venture documents (JV Agreement or letter of intent); Authorization to sign; Qualifications; Technical conformity; any other documents in the TDS. (Section IV)
