Overview

Repair and replace damage roof sheeting at Eerste Rivier Post Office Depot. The project targets roofing repairs for a 650m2 facility; suitable bids are invited from experienced roofing contractors with capacity to supply a minimum R2m Public Liability Insurance (proof of cover required) and to meet SAPO’s procurement requirements (including BBBEE and tax compliance).

Requirements

• Mandatory briefing session: 12 Aug 2026, 11:00 at Eerste River Post Office Depot, No 7 Himalaya Way, Heather Park, Eersterivier (mandatory) (RFQ package).
• Closing date: 19 Aug 2026, 11:00; late submissions not considered.
• Submissions: via email to SAPORFQ@postoffice.co.za (or via Tender Box as applicable); must use official forms and be in English.
• Insurance: provide proof of comprehensive Public Liability Insurance minimum R2,000,000 (valid and active).
• Tax/compliance: provide SARS TCS PIN or CSD number; if part of a JV/consortium, each party must submit separate TCS/CSD; apply tax compliance rules.
• BBBEE: submit BBBEE certificate; for consortia, provide consolidated BBBEE certificate; failure to provide may affect scoring.
• Documentation: complete SBD1, SBD4, pricing schedule (in ZAR, VAT inclusive), and any other returnable documents; include Certificate of Acquaintance with Bid Documents.
• Site/contract terms: SAPO may conduct site inspections; contract to follow main agreement terms; adherence to confidential/non-disclosure terms.

• Clarifications: submit written questions by 14 Aug 2026; SAPO will respond in writing and distribute to all bidders (RFQ documents) (RFQ 26/27/62).
• Submission method and deadline: proposals must be submitted by 19 Aug 2026 11:00; either emailed to SAPORFQ@postoffice.co.za or delivered into the Tender Box; late or non-conforming submissions will be rejected.
• Required documents to submit (from Schedule of Bid Documents): SBD1 (Invitation to Bid), SBD4 (Bidder’s Disclosure), SBD7 (Contract Form), Pricing Schedule, Returnable Documents; BBBEE certificate; CSD/TCS where applicable; Consortium/JV documentation if applicable (Annex BC may apply).
