REPAIR OF SINGLE CORE CABLE AT PINEDENE

Overview

This RFQ seeks repair of single-core cables at Pinedene and related works (jointing, termination, trenching, testing) for PRASA’s Metrorail Gauteng network. Bids are invited from contractors with CIDB 4EP or higher and the capability to meet safety, tax, and supplier registration requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 4EP or higher; comply with technical functionality criteria; provide evidence (scope: SCOPE FOR PINEDENE CABLE – pdf).
• Safety and health: comply with Occupational Safety Act; submit a detailed safety plan; maintain a safety file on site; site access certificate on award.
• Tax and supplier status: tax compliance (SARS PIN or TCS), COIDA Good Standing, and CSD registration (or SARS PIN if not on CSD). Sub-contractors must have separate TCS/CSD where applicable.
• Subcontracting: permitted only with Project Manager consent; provide required safety/quality documentation.
• Key personnel: Team Leader/Project Director (heavy current electrical qualification); Site Supervisor (electrical trade test); Construction Health and Safety Officer (SAMTRAC or higher). CVs and SAQA/qualification evidence required.
