Overview

Repairs and maintenance of Fort Wiltshire (B4) staff accommodation at Great Fish River Nature Reserve. This CIDB 3GB+ project requires a contractor with relevant building maintenance experience, CIDB/CSD registrations, and adherence to World Bank procurement rules. The contract duration is 4 months from site handover.

Requirements

• CIDB: contractor grading designation equal to or higher than 3GB (active status required).
• Joint ventures: allowed if each partner is CIDB-registered and the lead partner meets 3GB; combined grading must meet tender requirements.
• Evidence of experience: at least three general building projects (each ≥ R1,000,000) in the last 5 years, with references, completion certificates, and location/coordinates data.
• Documentation: CIDB certificates for all parties, CK documents, CSD registration (and monthly CSD proof), Joint Venture agreements and power of attorney if applicable, and IDs where required.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN, and/or CSD tax status certificate; ensure tax matters are in order (7-day rectification window if requested).
• Subcontracting: requires ECPTA approval; provide CIDB/CSD for subcontractors and indicate items in BOQ to be subcontracted.
• Compliance with contracts: JBCC Minor Works agreement and General Conditions of Contract; Occupational Health and Safety compliance.
• Tender validity: 150 days.
• Evaluation: four-stage process (administrative, technical, price, risk), with compulsory briefing and CIDB eligibility as prerequisites.
• Specific goals: not applicable for this bid.
