Overview

Repairs and maintenance of street bins within the Stellenbosch Municipal Area (WC024). The contract covers labour, materials, tools, equipment and transport to repair and maintain the municipality’s street bins (approx. 100 units), including replacement of cladding, locks, signboards, bases, lids and hinges to restore safety and presentation. Bidders should have municipal maintenance or waste-management capability, be tax compliant, be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), and provide BBBEE documentation. The bid includes MBD forms and a pricing schedule and must comply with local procurement policy; the project is capped to stay within a R300k threshold.

Requirements

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and tax-compliance (TCS PIN or SARS e-filing) or CSD number if no TCS; foreign suppliers must complete Part B3.
• Complete and submit the mandated bidding forms: MBD 1, MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 6.1 (Preference Points), MBD 8 (Past SCM practices), MBD 9 (Independent Bid Determination) and Pricing Schedule (MBD 3.1).
• Proof of BBBEE status (certificate or sworn affidavit) and proof of locality (municipal account within Stellenbosch WC024) to claim locality points.
• Evidence of ability to perform: minimum three contracts in last five years and supporting photographs/references; all pricing must be VAT-inclusive and bidders must be VAT-registered if applicable.
• Ensure all other standard conditions (SARS/TCS, municipal accounts not in arrears, etc.).

• Submission method: sealed bids in the municipality’s bid box; telephonic, telex, fax or email submissions are not accepted.
