REPAIRS TO THE RAIL LINE AT LINE 1 TO 2 FOR SOUTH DUNES WAGONS DEPOT – a construction RFQ issued by Transnet Engineering. Requirements

• Compulsory briefing/attendance: compulsory Tender Clarification Meeting; attendance certificate T2.2-01 required; those not attending are disqualified.
• Functionality threshold: minimum 70 points to qualify for price/preference evaluation.
• Evaluation: 80/20 preference where price accounts for 80 points; specific goals and B-BBEE contribute up to 20 points; additional due diligence may be conducted.
• Compliance: adherence to non-disclosure, integrity, and associated enterprise questionnaires; English tender submission; no alternative tenders.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: download RFQ from etenders.gov.za and Transnet site; submission via Transnet e-Tender Portal (https://qa.ppd-supplier.transnet.net/) (see NEC 1466 railway repairs.pdf).
• Registration and submission: register, log intent, upload bid materials before closing; allow for multiple uploads up to 30MB each.
• Submit required documents and schedules: T2.2-01 Attendance Certificate; T2.2-02 CIDB grading; T2.2-03 to T2.2-07 and Annex G; SBD/PP forms as applicable.
• Mandatory briefings/site visit: attend the compulsory clarification meeting (11:00, duration ~2 hours) and participate in the site walk; bring RFQ document and have T2.2-01 signed by Employer’s Representative (documented in NEC file).
• PPE and site requirements: wear safety shoes, goggles, long sleeves, hi-vis, hard hat; breathalyzer testing on site; no firearms on site.
