REPLACEMENT OF AIRCRAFT GATES FOR A PERIOD OF 18 MONTHS AT ORTIA AT O.R TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTClosed

Overview

Replacement and design of aircraft gates at ORTIA (O.R. Tambo International Airport) over a period of 18 months, under NEC3 ECC3. The project is a construction tender issued by Airports Company South Africa. Eligible bidders are CIDB 7ME or higher contractors; joint ventures are allowed under CIDB rules. The works cover automated gates, PLC control, electrical/mechanical systems, gates’ drive and safety, with interfaces to BMS/IMC and security considerations.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 7ME or higher (eligible bidders per Tender Data).
• Registration with CIDB, or capability to register prior to evaluation; combined JV CGD must meet requirements.
• If a joint venture, each member must be CIDB-registered; lead partner must meet the required designation; combined CGD must meet tender value criteria.
• Tax/compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or CSD number; provide proof for all JV members.
• Submit on official forms; include Form of Offer and Acceptance, Schedule of Deviations (if any).
• Returnable documents: T2 List of Returnable Documents and T2 Returnable Schedules; printed bid (1 Original + 1 Copy) plus electronic copy.
• SAQA/foreign qualification validation for key personnel; active SACPCMP registrations where applicable.
• Functionality evaluation: minimum 85/100, including roles such as Project Manager, Mechanical/Electrical/CI Engineers, Civil/Structural, Site Supervisor, Safety, and a project organogram with signed availability letters.
• Compliance with CIDB and PPPFA preference requirements, including provision of B-BBEE proof.
