Overview

The tender is for the replacement and delivery of sixteen airport trolley movers and eight chargers at O.R. Tambo International Airport for a six-month period. Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) invites bids from suppliers with experience in supplying airport trolley movers and associated chargers, including delivery, commissioning, training and after-sale support, under the NEC3 Supply Short Contract framework.

Requirements

• Fully completed Form of Offer (C1.1) and adherence to the NEC3 Conditions of Contract (SSC3) as applicable. (NEC3 document reference)
• Compliance with tax and supplier pre-qualification requirements, including SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or CSD number, VAT details, and relevant IDs/registration documents.
• Submission of mandatory returnable documents (e.g., SBD forms, BBBEE affidavit or scorecard, confidentiality agreement, declaration of interest/PEP, and supplier registration data).
• Evidence of capability: brochures/catalogues for trolley movers and chargers; demonstration of meeting technical specs (1.5–1.75 HP motor, 36V battery, 12-hour runtime, safety features; 6A smart charger for 36V DC, etc.).
• At least one reference letter confirming delivery of similar equipment (more is worth up to 20 points in evaluation).
• Delivery capability within the required lead time (target 3 months or less; linked to Functionality scoring).
• Training and certification of maintenance staff included in pricing.
• Confidentiality and security vetting as applicable; adherence to mandatory briefing attendance and Site Inspection requirements.
