REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEMS AT THE OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR A PERIOD NO EXCEEDING 36 MONTHS.

Overview

Procurement of the replacement of Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) at OR Tambo International Airport for a period not exceeding 36 months. Bidders should have experience in ILS installations/commissioning, familiarity with NEC3 ECC contracts, and capability to design/tegrate Localizer, Glide Path and related components per aviation standards (ANNEXURE B; ANNEXURE C). The contract data and structure follow NEC3 ECC (Part C1–C4) as per the Employer’s documents (ANNEXURE A).

Requirements

• NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract, Option B (priced contract with bill of quantities) with specified risk, dispute, and liability terms (ANNEXURE A).
• CIDB registration where applicable; proof of CIDB category as part of bid.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN and/or Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or CSD number; separate TCS for each JV/sub-contractor (Annexure A / Part 2 docs).
• Compliance with environmental (ANNEXURE N), health & safety (ANNEXURE O), and ILS standards (ANNEXURE D; ANNEXURE B/C).
• Site: OR Tambo Airside; scope includes ILS replacement, with associated safety and airside constraints (ANNEXURE A, ANNEXURE D109MAN).
• Technical specs for ILS localizers, glide path, and DME (ANNEXURE B; ANNEXURE C).
• Mandatory briefing session and risk considerations (e.g., delivery delays, airside operations, safety) as part of project governance (ANNEXURE M; ANNEXURE N).
