Overview

The Competition Commission of South Africa seeks information from accredited universities or business schools on university-based, NQF-aligned and/or credit-bearing short courses that can be packaged into an Economist Development Programme (EDP) for its staff. Suitable bidders include accredited higher education institutions capable of detailing course accreditation, NQF levels/credits, learning outcomes, and a coherent EDP pathway. The EDP is expected to run over 12–18 months.

Requirements

• Mandatory documents: proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Capability: identify accredited short courses that are credit-bearing and/or NQF-aligned; demonstrate how proposed courses form an integrated EDP (accreditation status, NQF level/credits, learning outcomes, alignment to EDP competencies, sequencing, articulation).
• Deliverables: a catalogue of relevant courses; proposed EDP structure; accreditation/NQF/credit details; implementation approach; indicative costing; project plan and timelines.
• Timeframe: programme duration 12–18 months.
