Overview

APPOINTMENT OF SERVICE PROVIDER(S) TO OVERHAUL GEARBOXES, DIFFERENTIALS, CENTRE PORTIONS, FRONT AXLES INCLUDING FLEX PLATE AND PROPELLOR SHAFTS FOR THE CITY-TO-CITY FLEET OF BUSES IN GAUTENG AND WESTERN CAPE. Bidders with heavy-duty transmission overhaul expertise (gearboxes, differentials, centre portions, front axles) and related automotive engineering capabilities should bid. Tender: HO/CITYTOCITY/TECH/08/08/2026.

Requirements

• Must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide CSD/tax details; tax compliance status (SARS PIN or TCS) required. (Annexure D; Form B; Section 11-12)
• Must be registered with Retail Motor Industry (RMI) for Automotive Engineering for the site visit. (Annexure B)
• Bids may be submitted in two envelopes: Volume 1 – Technical/Compliance; Volume 2 – Financial/Specific Goals. (Annexure D)
• If a joint venture/consortium or sub-contractors are involved, each party must be registered on CSD and provide relevant compliance docs; Joint Venture checklist applies. (Annexure G)
• Pricing must be submitted on the approved Pricing Schedule (Annexure C). (Annexure C)
• Funding contingency applies; award is subject to budget allocation and may be cancelled if funding is unavailable. (Form H)
