Overview

The RFP seeks an investment partner to finance, develop, and operate the Rock Island gold mine in Limpopo, via an equity-based joint venture or local SPV with Corridor Mining Resources (CMR) and potentially Fumani Greenstone Mine. Open to South African and international investors, with a minimum ZAR 100 million capital and at least ZAR 25 million liquid funds. Requirements

• Legal and regulatory eligibility:
  • South African: CIPC registration, SARS tax clearance, BBBEE certification, and empowerment commitments.
  • International: valid incorporation in home country, certificate of good standing, willingness to establish SA SPV/JV with CMR.
• Financial: verifiable access to ≥ ZAR 100 million for initial investment; liquid funds ≥ ZAR 25 million; supporting evidence (bank letters, term sheets, or LOI).
• Technical: ≥5 years mining/large-scale project financing experience; track record with at least two mining projects > ZAR 500 million.
• Documentation to support: Annexure A (Legal Standing), Annexure B (Partnership Commitment), proof of registrations, budgeting and pricing details, references.
• Other: attendance at mandatory site visit; willingness to form SPV/JV and align with empowerment and local participation requirements.
