Overview

Provision of engineering professional services for the rehabilitation of landside pavements at OR Tambo International Airport for 36 months. This is an open-tender RFP issued by Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) targeting engineering consultancies with pavement/civil engineering expertise, familiarity with NEC3 Professional Services contracts, and capacity to manage multi-site rehabilitation programs under security and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: Pavement/Civil Engineer with a degree (B.Tech, B.Eng, BSc or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience: completed projects in design/rehabilitation of major roads; total project value and number of projects to meet technical thresholds (criteria outlined in the RFP’s evaluation sections).
• Key personnel: qualified Pavement Engineer/Technologist and a Project Manager with relevant post-qualification experience.
• Compliance: SARS Tax PIN and/or CSD registration; BBEE documentation; separate TCS/PINs for joint ventures or sub-contractors; security/vetting as required.
• JV/consortium: if applicable, require a signed JV/consortium agreement with clear percentage split; for evaluation, a consolidated BBEE score applies.
• Other: confidentiality, data handling, and insurance/indemnity requirements per the NEC3 PSC framework; potential security clearance for personnel.
