Overview

• The RFP seeks the supply and delivery of coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, sweetener and specialty teas for SAA Inflight Services. The contract covers a three-year period and targets beverage suppliers capable of providing onboard coffee, tea and accompaniments (sugar, sweeteners, milk portions) meeting airline standards (premium African-origin coffee/tea where possible).

Requirements

• Valid food safety certification (HACCP, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000)
• COIDA Letter of Good Standing
• Completion of the SAA pricing schedule (SBD 3.1) and other mandatory SBDs (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1, SBD7.1, SBD8)
• Vendor information with CSD registration details
• Compliance with format and documentation as per Part 1–11 of the RFP (Information Schedule, Bid Conditions, Scope, Evaluation Criteria, etc.)
• Optional: samples and tasting if shortlisted (after functionality threshold)

• Submission method: electronic submission to Tenders@flysaa.com (also viewable on National Treasury e-Tender Portal and SAA tenders page)
• Documents to submit: fully completed Part 1–11 response packages, including SBD forms; vendor information and CSD details; pricing schedule; any deviations; and POPI consent where required (see RFP GSM012/26)
• Pre-qualifications: ensure Tax Clearance (SBD2) and CSD/Vendor registration details are provided; adhere to BBBEE considerations as per SAA policy
• Briefing: no mandatory briefing session (N/A)
