Overview

RFP GSM031/26 seeks proposals for the distribution and management of global inventory freight forwarding. SAA requires a DRP-driven, end-to-end logistics solution covering domestic, regional and international locations, including transport management, freight forwarding, and shipment visibility. Suitable bidders are freight forwarders/logistics integrators with FIATA membership (and SAAFF affiliation), SARS tax clearance, cross-border clearance capability (CCD), a real-time Track & Trace system, goods-in-transit insurance, and at least 5 years’ global shipping experience; must provide three references and a named lead with relevant expertise. The contract is non-exclusive and includes a 3-year pricing/inflation framework within a 180-day bid validity period.
