Overview

Procurement of a panel of independent valuers for IDC’s unlisted investments and ongoing governance/support for a Board-level Valuations Committee. Bidders should be experienced valuation professionals or advisors with demonstrated ability to value unlisted investments and to establish/operate a governance framework for a committee that reviews valuations, ECLs and collateral. Key qualifications include experience in valuing shares, shareholder loans, quasi‑equity and complex illiquid instruments, and delivery of governance templates, operating models and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Relevant experience valuing unlisted investments (minimum three references within five years).
• Detailed methodology for IDC’s unlisted investments and for Board-level Valuations Committee establishment and ongoing support.
• Qualifications and skills of the proposed team (CA or equivalent; project lead with ≥5 years’ experience; CVs for key personnel).
• Professional Indemnity Insurance and SARS tax compliance status; CSD registration and B-BBEE considerations.
• Ability to deliver governance framework, charter, operating model, templates, risk-based review methods, and handover materials.
• Willingness to prepare SLA with IDC and provide bi-annual assurance/reporting to the BAC.
