Overview

The iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority invites bids for amphibious dredging and vegetation clearing within the Msunduzi River and Beach Channel System (RFP 01/2026). Eligible bidders are CIDB contractors with grade 6CE or higher (or capable of registering before evaluation); joint ventures are allowed under specified conditions.

Requirements

• CIDB eligibility: minimum grade 6CE or higher; JV rules apply (lead partner 6CE+, each member CIDB-registered, combined CGD meets requirements).
• Pre-qualification criteria (PPPFA aligned): Tax pin; CSD Full Report; CIDB registration (minimum 6CE); B-BBEE status or sworn affidavit; complete all SBDs (initial and signed); company registration documents; letter of good standing; two-year financial statements.
• Tender evaluation: functionality/quality (Methodology and approach 30%, Relevant experience 30%, Equipment suitability 30%, Skills transfer plan 10%); remaining tenders evaluated on financials and preferences using Form SBD6.1.
• Additional: Tender validity period 120 days; site access and plant/experience for amphibious dredging and vegetation clearing are required.
