Overview

The RFP seeks the provision of maintenance, servicing and repairs of substations and generators on an as-and-when basis for 36 months in the Western Cape region. Bidders should have electrical maintenance/substation and generator service capabilities and be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) with Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or SARS PIN; joint ventures/consortia are allowed; attendance at the compulsory briefing and BBBEE/SS compliance are required.

Requirements

• CSD registration and TCS or PIN (and for consortia, each party’s TCS/PIN or CSD).
• Tax compliance with SARS; provide TCS/PIN or CSD validation; valid for contract term.
• Joint ventures/consortia allowed; signed JV/consortium agreement or written intent; award contingent on signing.
• Attendance at compulsory briefing session and submission of Certificate of Attendance (Form D).
• Compliance with PRASA terms and BBBEE/SS requirements; submission of SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 as applicable.

• Briefing: Compulsory briefing 06 October 2026 at 10:00, Cape Town Station (Shosholoza Mely Waiting Area).
• Submission method: Bids in two sealed envelopes to PRASA Tender Drop Off Office, 3 Old Marine Drive, Cape Town 8000; final bid by 23 October 2026 12:00.
