REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TICKETING MATERIAL (ITIX, PITIX AND ITIX RIBBONS) ON AN AS AND WHEN BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY-SIX (36) MONTHS IN GAUTENG REGION.

Overview

PRASA seeks bids to supply and deliver ticketing material (ITIX, PITIX and ITIX ribbons) on an as-and-when basis for 36 months in the Gauteng region. Target bidders include ticketing hardware/material suppliers, printers/ Ribbon manufacturers, and distributors with capacity to meet PRASA’s specifications and delivery timelines (RFP DOCUMENT 69.10.26.GAU-CS.pdf; Annexure 4).

Requirements

• Demonstrate quality and compliance: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001; adherence to PRASA specs; supply of ITIX, PITIX and ITIX ribbons in specified colors; sample materials for evaluation; proper packing and on-site delivery to Braamfontein and Pretoria (Annexure 4, Scope of Work).
• Pre-qualification and registrations: registration on PRASA’s Central Supplier Database (CSD); tax compliance with SARS (PIN/TCS) requirements; where applicable, JV arrangements must include a signed or intended JV agreement (Annexure 1/Form B).
• Bid prerequisites and protections: confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations; compulsory briefing attendance (Form D); 90-day bid validity; adherence to SBD forms and other tender returnables (Annexure 1).
• Tender mechanics: ability to meet delivery windows (delivery 1–2 weeks after PO as per scope); compliance with local content and BBBEE requirements; potential for BAFO/price negotiations if needed (Annexure 3).
