REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL TO LEASE THE PREMISES IN EXTENT OF 1687m2 AT DUNCAN ROAD FOR THE PORT OF CAPE TOWN FOR A PERIOD OF UP TO TEN (10) YEARS.

Overview

Leasing of 1687m2 rail reserve premises at Duncan Road, Port of Cape Town, for up to 10 years. Bidders should be landlords/developers/property managers capable of refurbishment and fit-out and meeting port-related compliance (tax, B-BBEE, CSD, security, environmental, and governance requirements).

Requirements

• Tax compliance: provide SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD registration; ensure ongoing compliance.
• B-BBEE: submit valid certificate or sworn affidavit; joint ventures require consolidated B-BBEE status and JV agreement.
• Experience and references: minimum 2 years’ relevant experience; at least 2 reference letters not older than 5 years; bank rating not older than 3 months.
• Alignment and plans: demonstrate alignment to Port Development Framework Plan (PDFP); provide capital expenditure plan and a maintenance plan; cash flow viability signed by a finance professional.
• Site and compliance: conduct property inspections prior to submission; disclose DPIP/FPPO status; obtain any required security clearances; comply with environmental and other legal requirements.
• Returnable documents: ensure SBD 1, certificate of acquaintance with RFP, RFP declaration, job creation and skills development, protection of personal information, tax/pin documents, company resolutions, JV agreements if applicable, and other annexures are submitted.
