Request for Proposals: Appointment of Panel of Contractors Specialising in Waterproofing of Concrete Roofs for a Five (05) Year Period (National).Closed

Overview

The NHBRC invites proposals to appoint a national panel of contractors specialising in waterproofing of concrete roofs for a five-year period. Bidders should have CIDB designation of at least 2 SN or higher (or be able to register accordingly), be registered with a waterproofing association, and demonstrate relevant waterproofing experience and qualified personnel (see attachments for details in FINAL TOR_ PANEL OF WATERPROOFING NHBRC 04 2026.pdf).

Requirements

• CIDB: registration at or above the required level (2 SN or higher); joint ventures allowed if combined rating meets the requirement (NHBRC 04/2026.pdf).
• Registration with a waterproofing association and online verification of grading status (NHBRC 04/2026.pdf).
• Tax and compliance: VAT, SARS PIN, CSD registration or MAAA number, COIDA good standing, latest CIPC documents (NHBRC 04/2026.pdf).
• SBD forms: SBD1, SBD4 (Disclosures), SBD6.1 (Preference) completed as mandatory; returnable documents T2.1/T2.2 submitted (NHBRC 04/2026.pdf).
• Site/clarifications: attendance at compulsory site inspection; non-compulsory briefing session on 28 Aug 2026 (see How to Apply for details) (NHBRC 04/2026.pdf).
• Functional evaluation: minimum 70/100 to qualify; requires CVs, staff qualifications (NHBRC 04/2026.pdf).
• Returnable pricing: pricing to be prepared in the NHBRC Rates schedule (Annex A) and aligned with the contract data (Waterproofing Panel Rates Annexure A.pdf).
