Overview

Procurement of the supply, delivery and commissioning of baggage trolleys pushers and baggage trolley tow tractors (trolley retrievers) for King Shaka International Airport. Bidders should be equipment suppliers/contractors with experience in baggage trolleys, trolley retrievers, and related maintenance; must meet NEC3/contracting, safety and VAT/CSD/tax requirements, and provide qualified personnel.

• 10 trolley pushers and 2 trolley tow tractors (as per Annex C) for King Shaka International Airport.
• Annex A indicates two baggage trolley types; deliver, install, and commission, with on-site handover.

Requirements

• Stage 1: Mandatory documents and attendance; complete Form of Offer; sign declarations; tax and supplier registrations (PIN with SARS, CSD, VAT where applicable); confidentiality obligations.
• Stage 2: Functionality evaluation (maximum 100 points; minimum 60 to progress):
  • Company Experience: 3+ reference letters for trolley equipment delivery/commissioning.
  • Key Personnel: Technician with N4 Mechanical/Electrical + Trade Test (Electro-Mechanician/Millwright/Electrician/Motor Mechanic) or equivalent; 3+ years commissioning/testing experience.
• Price and Preference: 80/20 scoring; must claim and prove specific BBEEE goals (Levels 1–8) and other goals (black youth/women ownership, disability ownership) with proper certificates/affidavits.
• Other: NEC3 Term Service Short Contract terms; security vetting may apply; confidentiality; performance and warranties; COIDA/FEMA insurance as applicable.
