Overview

Provision of cleansing services for MBDA managed sites (Uitenhage CBD, PE CBD, Stadium Precinct). MBDA seeks proposals from cleaning service providers with appropriate industry experience, health and safety PPE, and statutory compliance to perform street cleaning, poster removal and related cleansing activities. A compulsory briefing is on 03 July 2026 at MBDA offices (or via Teams).

Requirements

• COIDA Letter of Good Standing
• Proof of BBBEE status (certificate or sworn affidavit)
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) prior to submission
• Municipal billing clearance/lease or equivalent
• Valid Tax Clearance Status
• Evidence of necessary operational capacity (staff, equipment, consumables)
• Public liability insurance of R5 million per claim (for the contract duration)
• Minimum equipment and vehicles (e.g., 3-ton truck or bakkie with trailer, high-pressure cleaner, weed remover, PPE, MBDA-branded uniforms)
• Adherence to government gazetted wage rates and CPI-based price escalations
• Local labour participation and community awareness requirements
• Monthly EPWP statistics reporting
• Bidders must complete and sign all bid documentation; price exclusive of VAT; bids valid for 120 days

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 24 July 2026 at 12:00. Questions close 10 July 2026.
• Submission method: One hard copy in the MBDA bid box (1st Floor, Tramways Building, Corner Lower Valley Road & South Union Street) plus one electronic copy uploaded to the MBDA Vendor Portal by 12:00 on 24 July 2026; USB acceptable. All bids must use MBDA documentation.
• Documents to complete/submit: MBDA bid documents including Invitation to Bid (MBD1), Pricing Schedule (Annexure C), BBBEE declarations (Annexure D), Declarations/affidavits (Annexures E–G), and other Annexures as specified.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CSD and MBDA e-tender Portal registrations; Municipal billing clearance; Tax clearance; proof of COIDA; BBBEE status.
