Overview

Procurement of a 60-month term service contract for the maintenance of airside and landside pavements at Cape Town International Airport. Suitable bidders are CIDB 5CE+ contractors (or JV capable of achieving that rating) with proven experience in reinforced concrete and flexible pavement works, and the capacity to manage airside/landside scope under NEC3 Term Service Contract conditions.

Requirements

• CIDB eligibility: 5CE+; registration with CIDB (or capable to register before evaluation); JV partners must meet CIDB requirements.
• Experience and staffing: demonstrated reinforced concrete and flexible pavement projects in the last 10 years; key staff with specified qualifications (Contracts Manager, Site Foreman, Health & Safety Officer) and professional registrations.
• Resource plan: demonstrate plant/equipment ownership or valid hire agreements; equipment age limits; emergency/holiday availability letter.
• Compliance/procurement: tax compliance (SARS PIN or CSD number if no PIN); returnable documents, forms, and pricing schedules completed; adherence to PPPFA/BBEE and contract data (NEC3 TSC).
• Site briefing: compulsory attendance (briefing 09 Sep 2026 10:30); attendance logged.

• Obtain documents from etenders.gov.za; queries close 16 Sept 2026 (via kamaal.allom@airports.co.za). The site briefing is compulsory (09 Sept 2026, 10:30). Closing for submissions: 01 Oct 2026 at 14:00.
• Submit in a sealed package to the Cape Town International Airport bid box (Southern Office Block Building, Ground Floor, Procurement Office). Include one Original, one Copy, and one USB with electronic copies; clearly marked with Bid Ref CIA7897/2025/RFP.
• Complete and submit: Form of Offer and Acceptance (NEC3 Contract data), Pricing Data (C2), Service Information (C3), Site Information (C4), and Schedule of Deviations if any; include returnable documents and any required certifications (insurance, BBBEE, etc.).
