Overview

SAFCOL seeks quotations for e-waste management services, including collection, transport, sorting/classification, data destruction, recycling, and environmentally responsible disposal. Open to service providers with ICT asset retirement capabilities, environmental compliance, data-safety controls, and relevant certifications (e-waste handling, environmental regulations, and Ewasa membership).

Requirements

• Complete the RFQ document in full and submit on company letterhead.
• Email quotations to RFQCentralNSP@safcol.co.za; use RFQ number in the subject.
• B-BBEE: provide SANAS-accredited verification or an EME/QSE sworn affidavit signed by a Commissioner of Oaths.
• Submit all SBD documents signed and returned.
• If bidding as a Joint Venture, provide consolidated BEE certificate.
• Tax compliance: ensure SARS compliance; proof via SARS PIN or Tax Clearance.
• CSD registration: register with the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (if not already registered) within 7 working days of award.
• Returnable documents: fully completed RFQ; official quotation; latest Tax Clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD report; IDs of company directors; Supplier Code of Conduct.
• Phase 2: provide proof of Ewasa (E-Waste Association of South Africa) membership.
• Disqualification risks include tax non-compliance, fraudulent information, restricted suppliers, or non-compliance with specifications.

• Submission method: via email to RFQCentralNSP@safcol.co.za; queries to Zwelakhe.Fakude@safcol.co.za. Include RFQ number in both queries and responses.
• Required documents to submit: fully completed RFQ, official company quotation on letterhead, latest Tax Clearance, BBBEE proof, CSD status, IDs of directors, and Supplier Code of Conduct.
• Pre-qualifications: ensure CSD, SARS Tax Clearance, and BBBEE evidence; Ewasa membership required for Phase 2 evaluation.
