Overview

RFQ GSM080/26 seeks IT resources to enable the migration to a new AWS stack for South African Airways (SAA). South African Airways requires external IT resource staff to support cloud migration, backend/system modernization, and related services. The scope specifies three roles: Lead Airline Digital Solutions Architect; AWS Cloud-Native Java/EKS Engineer; and Senior Mobile and Digital Applications Developer (with at least two CVs per role).

Requirements

• Minimum experience: at least 7 years providing IT resources for large-scale projects; at least 3 years in AWS migration; individual resources must meet the criteria in aviation/financials/telecoms/online gambling/online shopping (shown via at least 3 relevant contracts/POs totaling >=7 years).
• Mandatory technical assessment for all profiles.
• Credential verification: certified copies for all qualifications; minimum National Diploma in IT with relevant certificates; credentials verifiable with issuing bodies.
• References: at least 3 project-specific reference letters per candidate, with contact details.
• Background and security checks: criminal, credit, and employment history checks for all candidates.
• Contracting: clear KPIs/SLAs; potential immediate replacement for underperformance.
• Onsite and replacement: onsite availability for key roles (≥50% of project duration); rapid resource replacement within 10 business days.
• Compliance and cost-effectiveness: penalties for non-compliance or falsified credentials; cost-effective service delivery.
• CVs and roles: submit minimum 2 CVs per role for the specified roles.
