Requirements

• Qualifications and certifications: professional engineers with PrEng/PrTech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic; SACPCMP registration for Construction Manager/Project Manager; proven experience in similar works.
• Evaluation criteria: mandatory documents; functionality threshold of at least 70/100; price and preference (80/20) following functionality.
• Compliance: Tax compliance status (SARS PIN or TCS) and/or CSD number; separate TCS for joints/consortium members; submission on official forms.
• Commercial: insurance as per NEC3, 2% performance bond, 36-month completion, 4–6 weeks payment terms, defect liability period specified, and end-of-liability dating.
• Site/access considerations and safety within an airport environment.
