Overview

Provision of practical and on-the-job training for furnace operators at the Necsa Smelter Plant, covering Coreless Induction Furnace operation and related systems. Target bidders are training service providers with proven practical/on-the-job induction furnace or smelter operator training experience, ability to develop competency-based programs, and to deliver under Necsa safety/regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in induction furnace/smelter operator training with minimum reference letters (3 for full points; more for higher scores) within the last 5 years. (see Evaluation Criteria Coreless Induction Furnace Training, attached document).
• Specific Coreless Induction Furnace training experience with multiple operator references.
• Qualified trainers with CVs; Lead trainer with relevant technical qualification and substantial hours in induction furnace/smelter operations including training and competency assessment.
• Ability to develop and provide: training plan, programme, materials, practical trainings, competency assessments, individual operator portfolios, attendance records, competency certificates, and a final training report.
• Adherence to Necsa SOPs, safety, environmental and radiological requirements; capability to operate within a nuclear facility safety culture; maintenance of training records.
• Documentation and pre-qualification: Tax Clearance, SBD 4, B-BBEE certificate or applicable affidavit, COID letter if applicable; trainer registrations (e.g., MerSETA) where required; any other documents requested.

• Pre-qualifications: Tax clearance, SBD 4, B-BBEE certificate or applicable affidavit, COID letter if required; trainer qualifications and MerSETA registration where applicable.
