REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR THE PROVISION OF STANDBY DIESEL GENERATOR MAINTENANCE CONTRACT ATClosed

Overview

This RFQ seeks a contractor to provide a 36-month maintenance contract for standby diesel generators at the Western Precinct. Bidders should hold CIDB grading 3 EP/EB or higher, have qualified electrical/diesel personnel, and demonstrate experience in maintaining standby generators (above 550 kVA). Compliance with SARS tax requirements and supplier registrations is needed.

Requirements

• CIDB: 3 EP/EB or higher (or higher) contractors. (see CIDB RFQ document)
• Key personnel qualifications: Electrical Technician (ND or higher in electrical eng), Electrician (trade tested), Diesel Mechanic (trade tested), Safety Officer (Safety qualification, N6+).
• Experience: Electrical Technician >2 years supervisory; Electrician >3 years post-qualification; Diesel Mechanic >3 years; Safety Officer >1 year.
• References: 2–3 reference letters with client letterhead; 3 references earn higher points.
• Tax/registration: SARS PIN for tax status; Tax Clearance or TCS; if JV, separate TCS/CSD for each party.
• Evaluation: Minimum 75/100 for Functionality; then 80/20 price/preference; BBEE and other specific goals apply.
