Overview

RFQ to supply and deliver Specialized Arc Protection Switching Gear Uniforms for Airports Company South Africa at King Shaka International Airport. Eligible bidders are PPE manufacturers or distributors with arc-protective garments and credentials (SANS/IEC 61482 series, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, OHS compliance).

Scope comprises 11 items (jackets, pants, shirts, gloves, balaclava, denim, dust coat) with specific ATPV/ELIM values and sizes; a note that winning bidders may be asked to engage with the department before procurement. Requirements

• Compliance: Arc PPE must meet SANS/IEC 61482-2, 61482-1-1, 61482-1-2; ISO 9001; ISO 45001; OHS requirements.
• Documentation (mandatory returnables): SBD 3.3 priced offer; Declaration of Interest; SBD 4; SBD 6.1; Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure; BBBEE certificate/affidavit; Tax Pin or CSD where applicable; Certificate of Incorporation; CSD Report; VAT Questionnaire; ACSA Terms and Conditions. (as listed in the bid package)
• Tax compliance: provide SARS Tax PIN or CSD number; ensure tax status is in order (TCS may be required).
• Validity: pricing and bid terms to remain valid for 120 business days.
• Security/confidentiality: signed confidentiality agreement; risk of penalties for breaches.
• Pre-qualification: potential security vetting for certain goods/services.
• Price and delivery: refer to Pricing Schedule for bid pricing and reimbursable disbursements.

• Deadline: closing date/time per RFQ: 10 August 2026 at 14:00 (subject to document in RFQ). Queries may be asked up to 07 August 2026 at 12:00.
• Submission: via email to acsarfq@airports.co.za; do not send as one large attachment; split into at least four attachments of ≈4 MB each.
• Documents to submit: complete official bid forms (SBDs), pricing schedule (see Pricing Schedule in RFQ 30285.pdf), tax/CSD documentation, BBBEE, confidentiality agreement, and other returnables listed.
• Pre-qualifications: provide SARS PIN or CSD details; if joint ventures, provide separate TCS/CSD for each party.
• Briefing/site: none required (N/A).
