Overview

PRASA seeks quotes for 140 mobile notebook computers (10 Executive and 130 Standard) and 100 USB-C 65W laptop chargers, to be delivered to Umjantshi House, 30 Wolmarans Street, Braamfontein. Bids must be submitted electronically via SAP Ariba.

Requirements

• Mandatory documents: complete RFP documentation, signed JV/Consortium/Partnering agreement, OEM/distributor authorisation letter, and two client reference letters (each ≥ R1,000,000; not older than 3 years).
• Basic compliance: SANAS B-BBEE certificate (or affidavit for QSEs/EMEs), CSD supplier registration number, valid Tax Clearance (or SARS PIN), company registration documents, and copies of directors’ IDs.
• Technical/functional: bidders must propose laptops (Executive and Standard) that meet all specifications; must provide Make/Model and indicate compliance per item; devices must be from different OEMs.
• Evaluation: three stages—Mandatory Compliance, Administrative Responsiveness, Technical/Functional (device compliance); Stage 3 uses Price (80) and BBBEE/Specific Goals (20).
• Specific goals include Black Women Owned, Black Youth Owned, Black People with Disability, BBBEE status, etc.
• Warranty/ownership: 4-year comprehensive warranty with next-business-day onsite support; minimum 12–15 hours battery life; 48– to 60-month asset/maintenance considerations.
